Physical Therapist

Physical Therapist
Minimum Qualifications:
• Degree: Master’s or Doctoral degree in physical therapy.
• Education: Graduate from a college or university approved by the Commission on Accreditation
in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• Experience: Must have practiced 24 months within the last 36 months.
• Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a physical
therapist.
HCW Duties (5.1 Task 1): The duties of the HCW are as follows: Physical Therapist in addition to
Exhibit 5:

5.1. Must be certified in dry needling.
5.2. Orient, instruct, and direct work activities (e.g. clinical tasks) of assistants, and
technicians.
5.3. Participate in peer review activities.

5.4. Provide clinical supervision to military and civilian technicians.
5.5. Peer review/performance review process: As with any healthcare professional, an ongoing
professional peer review process and periodic review of performance is required and accomplished at
least annually as part of the
process.

Recognized Holidays: Contract HCWs ?will ? will not be required to work on federally recognized holidays. The HCW will not provide services during any event that results in a medical facility closure:

1.5.7.1. Hours of Performance: The performance hours of the MTF are as follows: Normal hours of operation are Monday through Friday, between the hours of 6:00 am-6:00 pm, excluding federal holidays and training/family days.

1.5.7.2. Scheduling: The schedule or scheduling process is as follows:

HCW will be scheduled to work a shift between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday with a one-hour lunch period. Contractors will not exceed 8 work hours per day unless patient care is compromised/or the contract permits. Any changes in the schedule shall be coordinated between the HCW and the Government. Any planned absences of the HCW shall be communicated to the Government supervisor in advance of the absence to ensure that clinical operations are not adversely affected. The Government reserves the right to change shift hours with a five-day notice to accommodate patient care needs and mission requirements.

Recording HCW Time: Changes to the recording of HCW time identified in the contract PWS are as follows:

HCW shall be required to log in time worked in both the Defense Medical Human Resource System internet (DMHRSi), as well as any locally established duty tracking system as established by the location directed by the Contracting Officer or the Medical Treatment Facility Contracting Officer Representative (COR).

1.5.7.5 Closures: During a planned closure of the facility due to training, holiday, or unplanned closure due to unusual and compelling circumstances (e.g., natural disasters, military emergencies, severe weather), the Contractor will: be compensated only for the actual hours the HCW provided services.
1.5.7.5.1 Unplanned Closures: Other than the federal holidays listed in paragraph 1.5.6, the following are considered training days or days where the HCW will not be required to work on this TO: N/A

1.5.8. Place of Performance: The work to be performed under this contract will be at 300 South Twining Street, Bldg. 760, Maxwell AFB, 36112. HCWs shall receive notification two weeks before the reassignment to another location within a 40-mile commuting radius of their assigned MTF.
1.5.9. Mission Essential: The following labor categories are designated as mission essential: None
